KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 -- Police are tracking down a man to assist investigations into an alleged assault on a restaurant customer while he was queueing for breakfast at Bandar Seri Coalfields on Friday.

Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police received a report on the incident at about 9.20am, according to a Sinar Harian report.

He said the victim was reportedly waiting in line when he suddenly coughed once and covered his mouth with his hand.

"The suspect, a man wearing a face mask believed to be in his 50s to 60s, then punched the victim on the left jaw, pushed and slapped his face, and hurled vulgar insults," he said in a statement on Monday.
