KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 15 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he pays RM2.60 per litre for RON95 petrol, despite being eligible for the RM1.99 subsidy under the Budi95 programme, as part of the government's effort to ensure subsidies are fairly targeted.

Speaking at the Finance Ministry's monthly assembly today, Anwar said the move reflects the government's commitment to social justice and sound fiscal management, ensuring assistance goes to those who need it most rather than being given universally.
