Anwar meets AIIB chief to discuss Malaysia's green energy and digital infrastructure plans
KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the president and chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Zou Jiayi, have discussed a sustainable development agenda covering the transition to green energy as well as the empowerment of digital infrastructure and advanced technology.
"I emphasised the government's priorities as outlined in the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), which, among other things, focus on the empowerment of renewable energy, energy efficiency improvements, and the development of a competitive and inclusive digital ecosystem," he said in a social media post.
