JERANTUT, May 17 -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has expressed his desire for Kampung Bantal in Ulu Tembeling to be designated as the state's first Royal Village.

Al-Sultan Abdullah described said the village nestled in the interior is close to the heart of his family, as it carries many fond memories and has allowed him to immerse himself in the lives of the people.

"I wish to make this village a special village, and if infrastructure improvements can be implemented, we will upgrade it into a Royal Village. This will be the first Royal Village in Pahang.
