KUCHING, July 6 -- AirBorneo has warned passengers to expect further flight delays, cancellations and schedule changes over the coming days as maintenance work on several aircraft continues to constrain its operations across Sabah and Sarawak.

The airline said the disruptions, which have affected flights since June 5, were caused by a combination of unscheduled technical rectification work on several aircraft, ongoing scheduled maintenance, and operational and crew duty requirements.

In a statement today, AirBorneo said safety remained its highest priority and that aircraft requiring technical attention had been withdrawn from service as a precaution until engineers were satisfied they were fit to fly.
