LOS ANGELES, April 2 -- American rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion shared an update with ‌fans on Instagram yesterday after being hospitalised the night before, saying she fell ill during her performance in the Broadway show "Moulin Rouge!".

"Last night was a real wake-up call for ‌me," the rapper wrote. "I've been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough."

A spokesperson for Megan Thee Stallion confirmed in a press release that the performer underwent a medical evaluation Tuesday night. Doctors concluded she was suffering from extreme exhaustion and dehydration, along with vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels.
