KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 -- The upcoming Johor state election is not merely a political contest but an important platform to determine the future direction of the state and the well-being of its people, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) Communications Director Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

He said the message was clearly conveyed during the launch of the coalition's election machinery for the Johor state election in Batu Pahat last night, which was attended by more than 5,000 party workers and local residents.

He said that during the event, PH chairman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stressed that the election was not his wish, and that the primary focus should remain on efforts and initiatives for the people.
