KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 8 -- Attempts by the media to obtain Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's response to the resignation of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick last night have reportedly so far been unsuccessful.

According to Sinar Harian, two events attended by Anwar in Kota Kinabalu thismorning - at the Gaya Street market and the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) - drew media attention as reporters waited for his comments, but none were forthcoming.

However, when approached after attending the Rancakkan Madani Sabah programme at SICC, Anwar hinted that he would respond soon.

"I will, I will." he reportedly said briefly while walking past members of the media.
