'For now, we work': Anwar rules out snap election, urges Malaysians to 'rise and save our country'
IPOH, April 5 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has indicated that there will be no snap general election (GE) and called on all parties to continue working together to find solutions amid the global energy crisis.
He stressed that the current situation is not about political rivalry, but rather a time for patience and focus in addressing the nation's challenges.
"This is not politics. This is not about political rivalry or being hostile to one another. I will not be holding an election in the next one or two months, just be patient.
"When the time comes for elections, then compete. For now, we work. Enough of politics, rise and save our country!" he said when officiating the Perak Madani Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2026 at Bulatan...
