India, March 13 -- The cliffhanger ending of Prime Video's TV series Scarpetta has left many questions unanswered and opened up several possible plotlines for a season 2. One of the biggest mysteries, of course, is the identity of the person at the door, while another key question is what lies ahead for Scarpetta now that she has been fired.

Based on the bestselling novels by Patricia Cornwell, Scarpetta stars Nicole Kidman in the titular role, alongside Jamie Lee Curtis as Kay Scarpetta's sister, Dorothy, Simon Baker as Benton, Kay's husband and an FBI agent, and Bobby Cannavale as former detective Pete Marino, who is married to Dorothy.
