India, March 2 -- With their much awaited ninth album the Gorillaz are more contemplative than they've ever been - 'The Mountain' takes listeners on an audio-visual spiritual journey through the eyes and ears of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett past India, death and the afterlife.
You can almost sense a deep sorrow within the hopeful sound of Gorillaz newest album, it rests in the lingering notes, in the high notes of Ajay Prasanna's melodic bansuri, or the sanctimonious twine of Anoushka Shankar's sitar.
