India, March 20 -- Most people attend London Fashion Week to be seen. Celebrity designer and stylist Rick Roy attended to see - and in doing so, made India impossible to ignore on one of fashion's most globally watched stages.

The Mumbai-based stylist didn't land in London chasing legacy luxury labels or front-row selfies. He came with a curated list, a well-formed point of view, and a look so magnetic that strangers stopped him on red carpets to ask for interviews.

"I didn't want to see old luxury brands just for clout. I wanted to actually experience fashion - local designers who are creating new looks, new styles, and starting conversations."
