India, April 4 -- The relationship between Mumbai and South Indian cuisine is as complicated as your previous situationship. We absolutely love it, constantly fill up Reddit threads on 'authentic' joints and savour every last drop of the coconut chutney. But the cravings start mostly in the morning, and sometimes in the evening too. It's enjoyed the most at a roadside stall, with Anna bringing all the stuff on his bicycle. We scarf it down before catching a train or maybe with our evening chai. But treating it as a meal? No way. That's what spicy gravy and rice are for. South Indian food had a hard time being promoted to the lunch or dinner category in Mumbai, that is, until The Rameshwaram Cafe happened.
