India, March 28 -- Some characters arrive on screen. Vijay Sethupathi's Muthu, in Muthu Alias Kaattaan, arrives like a folktale that has already gone wrong. Muthu is not a hero, not a traditional king anyway. He does not have an epic "entry" sequence. In fact, the first time we meet him, we see his smiling severed head.
