U.S. Ambassador Eric Meyer Arrives in Sri Lanka, Presents Credentials
Srilanka, Aug. 25 -- On August 25, 2026, U.S. Ambassador Eric Meyer presented his credentials to Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, marking the formal commencement of his ambassadorial tenure.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Meyer said: "It was an honor to present my credentials to President Dissanayake. The United States is proud to call Sri Lanka a friend in a partnership that has spanned more than 78 years.
