Lucknow, April 23 -- In a significant labour policy move, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has notified revised minimum wage rates across the state following workers' protests in the two of the state's major industrial clusters of Noida and Greater Noida.
The decision to hike the minimum wage was taken following multiple rounds of talks with workers' representatives and industrial units employing them.
Citing rising cost of living, hundreds of industrial workers in Noida and Greater Noida hit the streets earlier this month and demanded a hike in their wages.
