Lucknow, July 25 -- The Uttar Pradesh government plans to develop nine mega industrial zones across key cities to attract large private investments and promote industrial growth, employment, skill development and entrepreneurship.

The proposed industrial zones will be established in Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Noida, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Aligarh, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj under the flagship Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone (SVPEIZ) initiative.
