Textiles Ministry Holds Summit to Chart Roadmap for USD 100 Billion Exports by 2030
New Delhi, June 24 -- The Ministry of Textiles held a departmental summit in New Delhi to formulate a strategy for raising India's textile and apparel exports from about USD 37 billion to USD 100 billion by 2030.
The summit, organised under the Cabinet Secretariat's Departmental Summits initiative, brought together representatives from states and Union Territories, district administrations, export promotion councils, industry bodies, exporters, financial institutions and academia.
The exercise follows consultations across 36 states and Union Territories and nearly 200 districts, which led to the preparation of State and District Export Action Plans.
