Sitharaman, IMF Chief Discuss India's Growth Trajectory, Macroeconomic Resilience
New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting in Asheville, with discussions focusing on the global economic outlook and India's evolving growth trajectory.
The Finance Ministry said Georgieva appreciated India's strong economic performance and noted the resilience built by the Indian economy.
The two sides also discussed structural shifts underway in India and the need to appropriately reflect these developments in macroeconomic assessments and growth projections, reported ANI.
