New Delhi, April 27 -- The Supreme Court of India has identified around 45,000 pending cases as suitable for settlement under its 'Samadhan Samaroh' initiative, aimed at promoting faster and amicable dispute resolution.
The initiative, titled Supreme Court Action for Mediated Adjudication and Disputes Harmonization Across Nation (SAMADHAN SAMAROH), commenced on April 21, 2026, and will culminate in a Special Lok Adalat scheduled for August 21-23, 2026.
The programme is designed to advance the vision of 'participative justice' and ensure doorstep delivery of justice by encouraging consent-based resolution of disputes pending before the apex court.
