New Delhi, March 10 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday released "Defence Forces Vision 2047: A Roadmap for a Future-Ready Indian Military" at an event held at South Block.

The document, prepared by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, outlines a comprehensive blueprint to transform India's armed forces into a modern, integrated and technologically advanced military aligned with the country's aspiration of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The vision document sets out a series of strategic reforms, capability enhancements and organisational changes required to address the evolving geostrategic and technological security environment.
