New Delhi, June 22 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the first commercial export of dried whole egg powder from Odisha to Austria.

The consignment, weighing 22.6 metric tonnes, was exported by Balangir-based OVO Farm Pvt. Ltd., an APEDA-registered exporter. The shipment marks the entry of Odisha-produced dried egg products into the European market.

To support production for export markets, the company established an egg-processing facility in Balangir in 2025. The unit manufactures dried egg products and is certified under food safety and quality standards, including FSSC 22000 Version 6, HALAL and KOSHER certifications.
