Hyderabad, April 28 -- Bhaskar Jyoti Sonowal has been elected President of the BRICS Entrepreneurs Alliance Global Forum (BEA) for the 2026-27 term, signalling a stronger push to promote MSMEs and entrepreneurship across the BRICS+ ecosystem.

Dr. Sonowal, who currently serves as CEO and Executive Director of BEA India, will steer the alliance's global strategy at a time when India is preparing to host the BEA Global Summit in November 2026.

Boost for MSMEs and global partnerships

His appointment is expected to strengthen cross-border trade within BRICS+ nations, enhance global partnerships for Indian businesses and expand market access for MSMEs and startups.
