New Delhi, Feb. 27 -- The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has upgraded the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) from a Schedule 'B' to Schedule 'A' category Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), according to a notification dated February 26, 2026. The ministry said the elevation to Schedule 'A' status would positively impact NSIC's management, operational and financial powers, thereby strengthening its ability to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
