New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a data-sharing mechanism for developing and strengthening the Statistical Business Register (SBR).

In a release, the MSME Ministry said the agreement provides for sharing unit-level data from the Ministry's Udyam Registration ecosystem with MoSPI through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). A two-way API mechanism will support the development and strengthening of the National Statistical Business Register (NSBR).
