Bhopal, April 30 -- The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved a significant increase in compensation for farmers whose land is acquired for development projects, in a move aimed at making the process more equitable and reducing delays in infrastructure execution.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the state secretariat, following longstanding demands from farmers and agricultural bodies.
Revised Framework and Legal Provisions
Under the revised framework, compensation for land acquired in rural areas will now be up to four times the market value.
