New Delhi, March 25 -- The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed the Finance Bill 2026, incorporating 32 government amendments, thereby completing its part of the Union Budget approval process for 2026-27.
The Bill will now be taken up by the Rajya Sabha. Following its approval in the Upper House, the Budget process for the upcoming financial year will be formally concluded, PTI reported.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the Finance Bill 2026-27 is based on five clear principles, adding that efforts to strengthen trust-based tax administration are being enhanced, and emphasised that the push for ease of living for citizens and ease of doing business should continue.
