New Delhi, March 2 -- Senior government functionaries and law officers who attended the 'National Conference of Union Secretaries and Learned Law Officers on Efficient and Effective Management of Government Litigation' have called for reducing pendency in cases spanning from service matters to contractual disputes among others.

The conference was held on February 28, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Focus on Reducing Avoidable Litigation

Deliberations covered four major themes: service, pension and employment matters; infrastructure, compensation and contractual disputes; fiscal, taxation and revenue cases; and regulatory, enforcement and compliance-related litigation.
