Indian SMBs Need Digital Trust, Reliable Payments To Scale Global Exports
New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- India's small and medium businesses (SMBs) are playing an increasingly important role in the country's export economy, with the MSME sector accounting for 48.58 per cent of exports as of January 2026, according to government data.
However, finding overseas customers through digital channels does not necessarily translate into sustained international business, with payments, logistics and customs processes continuing to pose challenges for e-commerce exports, according to an EY-ASSOCHAM report.
