India's Gem & Jewellery Exports Rise 3.14Percent to USD 2.30 Billion in August
New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- India's gross gem and jewellery exports rose 3.14Percent year-on-year in US dollar terms to USD 2.30 billion in August 2026, with studded gold jewellery exports surging 51.22Percent to USD 642.85 million, according to data from the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
The council said gross gem and jewellery exports increased 12.52Percent in rupee terms to Rs 21,945.87 crore in August from Rs 19,503.52 crore in the same month last year, The Indian Express reported.
Cut and polished diamond exports also showed an increase in volume during the month. Export volumes rose 3.23Percent to 13.36 lakh carats in August 2026 from 12.94 lakh carats in August 2025, indicating signs of renewed demand in the glob...
