New Delhi, June 26 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the first commercial sea shipment of premium Banganapalle mangoes from India to Singapore, marking a step towards expanding India's horticultural exports through cost-effective maritime transport.

The consignment, comprising 5 metric tonnes of Banganapalle mangoes, was exported by Osum Food Solutions LLP on June 11 and reached Singapore on June 24.

The mangoes were sourced from Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)-certified orchards in Andhra Pradesh and processed at an APEDA-recognised packhouse in Karnataka before being shipped.
