New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- India's electric vehicle (EV) transition reached a significant milestone in July 2026, with retail sales touching an all-time high of 3,27,901 units-marking a growth of over 66 per cent year-on-year (YoY), according to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).

This surge means that nearly one in every eight vehicles sold in the country was electric, highlighting accelerating consumer adoption across segments.

Strong Growth Across Vehicle Segments

FADA highlighted that the growth was broad-based, with all major segments recording higher EV penetration.
