New Delhi, March 27 -- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved Indias updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for the period 2031 2035, marking a significant step in strengthening the countrys climate commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.

The revised NDC aligns with Indias long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and focuses on integrating sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive development into economic growth.
