New Delhi, June 25 -- United States Trade Representative Ambassador (USTR) Jamieson Greer held multiple rounds of discussions with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi and reviewed the progress on proposed trade deal.

Greer led an US delegation to India from June 22-24 to advance negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement (BTA).

Greer's discussions with Goyal covered key elements of the proposed agreement, including market access, digital trade, supply chain resilience, non-tariff barriers and cooperation in strategic sectors.

According to the Commerce Ministry, both sides noted progress made by negotiating teams in recent months and reviewed pathways for concluding an interim agreement, which is being pursued as a step toward...
