New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik held a bilateral meeting with a delegation of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) in New Delhi to discuss India-EU cooperation in the power sector.

The discussions covered energy security, power sector transformation, low-carbon development, nuclear energy, carbon markets and emerging technologies. Both sides also reviewed ongoing initiatives and areas for deeper cooperation.

Naik highlighted India's expansion of non-fossil fuel capacity, transmission and distribution infrastructure, energy storage and smart-grid systems, along with developments in nuclear energy, energy efficiency and green hydrogen.
