India, Chile Accelerate CEPA Talks to Strengthen Trade and Investment Ties
New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- India and Chile advanced negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), with both sides discussing ways to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties.
Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal met Paula Estevez Weinstein, Vice-Minister of International Economic Relations of Chile, in Santiago on August 26 to discuss progress on the CEPA negotiations.
The discussions focused on developing a balanced and commercially meaningful agreement that can create greater opportunities for businesses in both countries.
Agrawal highlighted potential for increased economic cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, minerals, agriculture, machinery and engineering.
