Gandhinagar, Sept. 18 -- The Gujarat government is set to undertake GIS-based geo-tagging and mapping of manufacturing MSME units registered on the state's Udyog portal to create a comprehensive database for infrastructure planning and policy formulation.

The exercise is being implemented by the state MSME Commissionerate under the Centre's Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, with Gujarat Info Petro Ltd (GIPL) appointed as the nodal agency.
