New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The government has awarded a total green hydrogen production capacity of 30 Kilo Tonnes Per Annum (KTPA) to four refineries under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Mode-2B scheme of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).

The information was submitted by Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has been awarded 10 KTPA capacity at its Panipat refinery, while Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited have been awarded 5 KTPA each at Bina and Vizag, respectively.
