New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Indian MSMEs will need stronger capacity to meet European Union (EU) regulatory requirements and effectively use tariff preferences to benefit from the India-EU free trade agreement (FTA), industry experts said at a two-day international conference organised by the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME.

The conference, titled "India-EU Partnership for MSME Competitiveness, Sustainability & Global Value Chains", focused on the FTA framework, non-tariff barriers, rules of origin and sector-specific opportunities across textiles, footwear, plastics, food processing, light engineering and auto components.
