New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- Dipka Opencast Project (OCP) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) produced a record 37.5 million tonnes (MT) of coal and dispatched 39.43 MT during FY 2025-26.

The mine's production has increased from around 1 MT in 1992. Its Environmental Clearance has recently been enhanced to 40 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), with a roadmap for expansion to 60 MTPA.

During FY 2026-27, Dipka OCP produced 12.66 MT of coal up to July 25, 2026, achieving 104Percent of its progressive production target and recording 30.5Percent year-on-year growth. Coal dispatch stood at 13.87 MT, reaching 109Percent of the progressive target.
