New Delhi, July 23 -- The Delhi government, in collaboration with power distribution companies (discoms), is planning to launch 'Solarise Delhi', a programme aimed at accelerating rooftop solar adoption across the city through coordinated outreach and support.

The initiative seeks to bring together government agencies, resident welfare associations (RWAs), financial institutions and vendors on a common platform to simplify adoption. It builds on a pilot model implemented in east Delhi by BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. (BYPL) under the Centre's PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, TOI reported, citing a Delhi government official.
