New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- The Delhi Cabinet has approved the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill, 2026, proposing major changes to the process of obtaining approvals, registrations, licences and clearances required to set up and operate businesses in the Capital.

The Bill will now be sent to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for approval. The proposed legislation aims to reduce regulatory and compliance burdens through a technology-driven, time-bound and transparent system.

Single-Window System for Business Approvals

A key provision of the Bill is a single-window online system through which businesses can apply for approvals, registrations, no-objection certificates (NOCs), consents and licences.
