Cotton Association of India Raises 2025-26 Cotton Pressing Estimate To 339 Lakh Bales
New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has raised its estimate for India's total cotton pressing for the 2025-26 season to 339 lakh bales of 170 kg each, up from 337 lakh bales estimated earlier.
The revised estimate, released after the CAI Crop Committee meeting on August 10, represents an increase of 2 lakh bales.
The revised estimate reflects higher projections for cotton pressing in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, partly offset by changes in the estimates for Upper and Lower Rajasthan.
Cotton Consumption Held at 348 Lakh Bales
