CJI Surya Kant Proposes Common BRICS Platform For Arbitration, Mediation In Commercial Disputes
New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant on Friday highlighted the judiciary's role in strengthening coordinated bilateral cooperation and deepening ties among countries at the BRICS Chief Justices' Forum in New Delhi.
Addressing the three-day forum, CJI Kant proposed creating a common platform for arbitration and mediation to facilitate the resolution of commercial and business disputes among participating countries, PTI reported.
Focus on Judicial Cooperation
On the opening day, CJI Kant held bilateral meetings with judicial leaders from Russia, China, Egypt, Indonesia, the UAE, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Iran and Uzbekistan.
