Afghanistan, June 15 -- World leaders have welcomed the emerging agreement between the United States and Iran aimed at ending months of conflict, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and launching a new phase of negotiations on unresolved issues.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called for the swift implementation of the agreement, saying the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is vital for regional stability and the global economy. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas described the deal as a potentially significant breakthrough that could pave the way for broader discussions on Iran's nuclear programme and regional security.
