Afghanistan, June 26 -- The World Health Organization (WHO) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Afghanistan's fight against drug addiction, saying substance abuse remains one of the country's most serious public health and social challenges.
Marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Friday, the U.N. health agency said it continues to support addiction prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services across Afghanistan, with a focus on expanding access to vulnerable communities.
