Afghanistan, May 18 -- The World Health Organization said Sunday that the global public health risk linked to a hantavirus cluster aboard the cruise ship MV Hondius remains low following a rapid risk assessment.
In a report released on May 17, the WHO said its latest evaluation, based on currently available information, found no indication of a broader international outbreak linked to the vessel.
The organization said the level of risk for passengers and crew members who were aboard the ship remains moderate, particularly for individuals exposed before control measures were introduced.
