Afghanistan, Aug. 4 -- Fast-moving wildfires in and around Spokane, Washington, have destroyed more than 700 structures and forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate as firefighters continue efforts to contain the blazes, authorities said.
The fires have burned for three days across the Spokane area, the second-largest city in Washington state, creating one of the region's most serious wildfire emergencies in recent years, Reuters reported early Tuesday, August 4.
