Afghanistan, Sept. 22 -- U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen has called on member states of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to impose sanctions on President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio over the administration's campaign against the Hague-based tribunal and its investigations into alleged war crimes in Gaza.
Van Hollen made the remarks in a post on X on Monday, saying that if European countries and other ICC member states "have any self-respect," they should sanction Trump and Rubio for attempting to obstruct the court's investigation into alleged war crimes committed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza.
