Afghanistan, July 25 -- The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has provided humanitarian assistance to 690 people affected by recent devastating floods in Afghanistan's eastern Nuristan province, the agency said Friday.
UNICEF said the assistance was distributed among residents affected by the recent floods in the mountainous province. The aid included soap, kitchen supplies, hygiene kits and bathing items intended to help affected families meet basic household and sanitation needs.
